Camp High Rocks, a private boys camp in Western North Carolina, has openings for male and female counselors for its nine week summer program. We have three sessions, each with 130 campers ages 8 to 16. Each counselor teaches one or more activities during the day. The primary function and obligation of a male counselor is to campers in his cabin group. Applicants for counselor positions must have completed at least one year of college.

We need people who enjoy working and living with children and have skills in: backpacking, traditional climbing, mountain biking, whitewater canoeing and kayaking, sailing, horseback riding (English), mountain biking, swimming, environmental education, tennis and arts and crafts. Extensive tripping program. Come put your leadership skills to work!
Everyone who works at Mondamin has three basic responsibilities: 1) Teaching skills and leading trips in an outdoor activity. 2) Working directly with kids as a counselor, advisor, and advocate constantly. For most staff, this means living with 5 or 6 kids in a cabin unit. 3) Participation and influence as a member of the camp community.
QUAL: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have completed at least one year of undergraduate study at a college or university (or equivalent). Should have experience in and be willing to teach one or more of our activities (some training provided). BNFTS: Salaries are individually determined based on your age, experience and skills. Falling Creek is a high adventure traditional summer camp in the western North Carolina mountains.
Falling Creek is looking for energetic, creative and friendly people who want to work with children in a fun and exciting environment. Our Adventure Activity Counselors organize and lead trips with our paddling, rock climbing, backpacking, and mountain biking programs.
Employment at Falling Creek will be from Late May to mid-August. All staff will be on a weekly salary. Room and board, laundry, and Internet access provided.
